Defense Diesel Engine

The D9.3LI6, built on International’s proven I-6 architecture, offers the performance you would expect from larger, heavy-duty engines while providing your operation with the economy associated with a weight-saving medium-duty diesel engine. It is the driving force in International® TranStar™ and WorkStar™ commercial vehicles and International® 7000-MV, MaxxPro™, and MaxxPro Plus™ military vehicles. Today there are over 100,000 of these engines powering on- and off-highway applications. This engine delivers big bore power without the big bore price tag. A stress-relieved crankcase and a bearing ladder cap provide added strength while single piece steel pistons and six head bolts per cylinder ensure longer engine life.
